The PAL-Colostrum "Pocket" Digital Refractometer from Atago Japan for determining the quality of Colostrum to protect and nurture the health of your livestock and newborn calves.

It uses the Brix % scale to measure the quality of Colostrum (First Milk), which has a correlation with the immunoglobulin (IgG) value contained in Colostrum. A reading of 22% on a BRIX indicates over 50 gms per litre which is considered good quality.

The PAL-Colostrum has a wide measuring range from 0~53% Brix with 0.1% resolution and high accuracy ±0.2% Brix.

It is ultra compact and lightweight for total portability and is IP65 protected against dust and water jets making it easy to clean up after use under running water.  It runs on 2 x AAA batteries (11,000 measurements) and features Automatic Temperature Compensation "ATC" for samples of all temperatures through use of advanced algorithms.

Usage is extremely simple with one touch measurement.  As little as 0.3ml (2-3 drops) sample is required for testing and results are determined quickly within 3 seconds.  Zero calibration can be completed with water.
