Our Ultrasound gel is a medical grade, non-toxic, medium viscosity couplant gel that is used to obtain a perfect connection between two materials when conducting NDT material thickness analysis.

The couplant gel is required for all ultrasonic testing as it removes the "air gap" layer between the thickness gauge probe (transducer) and the material to be tested. This will ensure a solid transmission of the ultrasonic sound wave pulse and echo for accurate, relaiable testing.

Only a small amount of fluid is required to gain solid "coupling" or connection. Apply directly to the sample material for scanning, or to the face of the transducer for multi-point testing.
