Window Tint Meter: WTR-2000
light transmittance tester
* Meets and exceeds Victorian Vic Roads, NSW RMS and Queensland TMR requirements for an Approved Inspection Station *
WTR-2000 Digital Window Tint meter features wireless magnetic sensors to allow for simple testing of Light Transmittance on a wide range of materials and different shapes / sizes including glass, plastics, perspex and other similar materials.
The individual, magnetised sensors are specifically designed to allow the user to keep proper alignment for high accuracy VLT testing. It is commonly used by roadworthy test stations and automotive mechanical workshops to ensure the legality of window tint film applied to vehicles.
Easy to use with automatic measurement, these digital tint meters also feature a self calibration function where you can reset the zero and 100% points.
Light transmittance is displayed in percentage (%) from 0 to 100, with 0.1% resolution. A high reading indicates a large amount of light is passing through the surface, therefore indicating a minimal tint; and a low reading indicates less light passing through the panel and therefore a heavy tint. The % Tint is 100% VLT (Visual Light Transmission).
The receiver has a relative spectral sensitivity conforming to photopic curve V (λ) of relative luminous efficiency of the C.I.E. 1931 standard observer for photopic vision. The light source is white LED with nominal temperature of 6000°K with the voltage to the lamp stabilised to within +/- .01%.
State regulations do vary, so please check with your local authority to be sure.
